Google Ads management

Get in front of people already looking for you.

Google Ads run for local service businesses in London. We are judged on enquiries, cost per lead and booked appointments. Not impressions, not clicks, and not a monthly report full of charts nobody reads.

5.0 on Google

Family run, in London, working in search since 2012. Don runs your account personally and is who you speak to. Everyone who works on it is London based, and it is never resold to another agency.

From live client accounts

What it costs to make the phone ring.

Two examples from campaigns running right now, anonymised at our clients' request. Real figures over the periods stated, not projections and not industry averages.

Dental clinic / London

£22

to book a new hygiene patient

Each hygiene appointment is worth £130 to the clinic on the day, before any further treatment that patient goes on to book. Around six times the ad spend returned immediately, and the patient is then on the books for years.

Hygiene campaign, second month
London clinic, August 2026

Ground screw installer

£25

average cost per enquiry

Held at roughly this level every month since March. A single foundation job is worth several thousand pounds, so the arithmetic on this one has never been close.

Six months to August 2026

Where these numbers come from, and what they do not include. Both are taken from live accounts over the periods shown, and both are measured against ad spend. The dental figure covers the campaign's second month; the first month ran with a tracking fault, so the true result was very likely better than what we were able to record. We would rather tell you that than have you wonder what else was rounded in our favour.

What we actually do

Buy the searches that end in an enquiry. Block the rest.

Most wasted budget is not spent on the wrong bid. It is spent showing your ad to people who were never going to become a customer. Someone researching a job they intend to do themselves. Someone forty miles outside the area you cover. Someone looking for a job, not a quote. Getting that right is most of the work.

Searches with buying intent

We target what someone types when they are ready to pick up the phone, not what they type while they are still reading around the subject. Fewer clicks, better clicks.

A negative keyword list that grows

Every week we read the actual searches that triggered your ads and block the ones that waste money. Free, cheap, DIY, jobs, courses, complaints. This never stops being worth doing.

Tight local targeting

Set to the area you genuinely serve and would happily travel to, right down to the postcode where it matters. Paying to appear in a town you will not drive to is the easiest money to stop losing.

Calls tracked, not guessed

Most of your enquiries will be phone calls, and most accounts cannot tell you which ad produced them. Yours will. Calls, form fills and WhatsApp taps all counted the same way.

Landing pages we build ourselves

Every campaign points at a page written for that one service, built and hosted by us. No waiting on a developer, and no ads pointing at a homepage hoping for the best.

Reporting in plain English

How many enquiries, what each one cost, which service they came from, and what we changed this month. One page. If you want the dashboard as well you can have it, but you will not need it.

The part most agencies skip

We tell Google which enquiries were actually any good.

Google will happily optimise towards form fills. The trouble is that a form fill from a time waster looks identical to one from a customer who books. Left alone, the system learns to find you more of whatever is easiest to get. So we close the loop: you tell us which enquiries turned into real work, and we feed that back.

01

Someone clicks

We record which search and which ad brought them, invisibly to them.

02

They enquire

Form, call or WhatsApp. It reaches you within seconds, with the search attached.

03 / you

You mark the outcome

Two taps. Junk, decent, or booked. That is the whole job on your side.

04

We send it back

The booked ones go back to Google as the outcome that actually counts.

05

Bidding gets sharper

Google starts chasing people who resemble your paying customers.

Then it goes round again, and each pass costs you a little less per booked job.

This matters most when the budget is modest. A campaign with a handful of conversions a week gives Google very little to learn from, so the quality of what you feed it counts for far more than the quantity. It is the difference between a small budget that works and a small budget that quietly drains away.

What usually goes wrong

The account you inherit from someone else.

We have taken over a fair few. The same handful of problems turn up almost every time, and none of them are exotic. They are simply what happens when nobody is looking closely at a small account because it is not worth their time.

What we usually find

  • Broad match keywords buying every loosely related search in the country.
  • Conversions counting page views, so the reported cost per lead is fiction.
  • Every ad pointing at the homepage, whatever the person searched for.
  • Phone calls untracked, so half the results are invisible to the bidding.
  • Location set to anyone who has ever shown an interest in the area, which is not the same thing at all.

What we do about it

  • Rebuild around tightly matched terms, then widen only where it earns its place.
  • Rebuild conversion tracking from scratch so a lead means a real human enquiry.
  • Build a dedicated page per service, which we host, so it can change the same day.
  • Track calls and WhatsApp properly, then feed the booked ones back to Google.
  • Set targeting to people physically in your area, and check the report that proves it.

How we start

Four weeks from first call to first enquiry.

Sometimes sooner. The setup fortnight is not us being slow, it is us refusing to switch on a campaign that has nowhere decent to send the traffic and no way of telling whether it worked.

01

The call

Half an hour with Don. Which services you want more of, what a customer is worth to you, where you will travel to, and what you have tried before. If the maths does not work for your business, we say so then.

02

Research and setup

We work out what people actually search for in your area, what the competition are bidding on, and what a realistic cost per enquiry looks like. You get that estimate before you spend anything.

03

Pages and tracking

We build the landing page for each service, wire up form, call and WhatsApp tracking, and test it end to end on a real phone. Nothing goes live until an enquiry can be traced back to the search that caused it.

04

Live, then tightened weekly

The first month is the noisy one. We read the search terms every week, cut what is wasting money, and shift budget towards what books. You get a short report and a call whenever you want one.

I have used Bold Tony's services for a long time. Don and VJ are very professional, quick and produce work of high standards. They are always on hand to give good advice.
Kuldip Virk Google review, August 2026
Don was able to quickly pinpoint significant website issues I had that were impeding my SEO performance... His clear communication, professionalism, and skill make him an invaluable resource.

What it costs

Priced openly, so neither of us wastes a call.

Campaign setup

From £1,200

One off. Research, account build, conversion tracking, call and WhatsApp tracking, and the landing page work needed to point the campaign somewhere sensible.

Monthly management

From £350

Ongoing. Weekly search term reviews, bidding, ad testing, landing page changes, reporting, and Don on the end of the phone. No long contract.

Your ad budget

From £600

Paid straight to Google, never through us, so you always see exactly what was spent. We will tell you honestly on the first call whether your budget is enough to be worth starting.

A good fit if

  • People search for what you sell. Treatments, installations, fitted work, repairs, property services.
  • A single new customer is worth several hundred pounds or more to you.
  • You can answer the phone, or have somebody who can. Speed of reply decides most of these jobs.
  • You want one supplier holding the ads, the pages and the hosting together.

The wrong choice if

  • You are selling products online. We do not do ecommerce, and a shopping specialist will serve you better.
  • You want brand awareness. We are the wrong shape of agency for that entirely.
  • You need enquiries this week. Setup takes a fortnight because doing it properly takes a fortnight.
  • Enquiries sit unanswered for days. We can make the phone ring. We cannot make anyone pick it up.

Straight answers

The questions we get on every first call.

Who owns the Google Ads account?

You do. It is set up under your own billing, we are added as a manager, and if we part ways we step out and everything stays exactly where it is. Agencies that keep the account in their own name are protecting themselves, not you.

How much should I spend on ads?

It depends on what a customer is worth to you and what your competitors are paying per click in your area. We work that out before you commit, and if the numbers say your budget is too thin to produce a sensible result, we will tell you rather than take the fee anyway.

Am I tied into a contract?

No long tie in. We ask for three months at the start because the first month is genuinely the worst one, and judging a campaign on it would be like judging a shop on its opening day. After that it is monthly.

How soon will I see enquiries?

Usually within days of the campaign going live, because you are appearing in front of people who are already searching. The first month is about volume, the second is about cutting the waste, and by the third the cost per enquiry is normally where it should be.

Do you work with my competitors?

Not in the same area. If we run ads for a dental clinic in one part of London we will not take another one nearby, because we would be bidding you against each other and taking two fees for it.

Can you take over an account someone else built?

Yes, and we will look at it before you commit to anything. Sometimes there is a decent structure underneath that just needs the tracking fixed. Sometimes it is faster to start again. We will tell you which, along with what we think it has been costing you.

Who actually does the work?

Don runs your project and does most of it. VJ designs. For the parts that genuinely need a specialist, backend development or attribution work for example, we bring in people from a small group we have used for years, every one of them London based. Nothing is handed to an offshore team. We brief them, we check the work, and we carry the responsibility for it. That arrangement is the whole point: you get specialist skill without having to find, brief or chase anyone yourself.

Why is it called Bold Tony?

It is a name we liked rather than a person. There is no Tony. You will be dealing with Don and VJ. We mention it because roughly everybody asks.
